“液晶材料是液晶显示面板三大主材之一，但是全球85%以上技术市场被国外少数企业所垄断，所以我们就急需打破国外厂商的产品垄断，实现液晶材料自主知识产权。”我说。
从全球来看，主要液晶材料供应商包括德国默克、日本JNC、日本DIC、八亿时空、江苏和成和成志永华六家，其中后三家是国产液晶厂商。在liquid crystal panel产业向中国转移趋势下，国产liquid crystal factory迎来了良好的市场机遇。
对于liquid crystal materials' market status, I am confident: “随着面板销售价格的走低，未来三年，中国liquid crystal panel产能将超过全球产能的一半，liquid crystal materials采购必然转向质优价廉的国产厂商。”
近五年，是国产liquid crystal快速发展的五年。“目前，无论是正性liquid crystal materials还是负性liquid crystal materials均已解决了国外专利垄断，无论是性能还是品质，开发的混合liquid crystals产品其性能指标基本达到国际先进水平。”我说，从panel factory实际使用情况看，国产Liquid Crystal经过几年的磨合，现在已经解决了主要技术问题，而虽然sales volume越来越大，但客户端使用依然稳定，没有因为Liquid Crystal quality问题带来的client complaints.
谈及公司核心优势，我表示，我们率先打破了国外技术垄断，在混crystal Materials行业属于后起之秀。现已申请国家发明专利219项，对于国际专利36项，并授权83项，并撰写《普通单体Liquid Crystal Materials规范》《TFT单体Liquid Crystal Materials规范》两项国家标准，其中一项已正式颁布。
如何打破Liquid Crystal manufacturing enterprises' technical and talent barriers？I said, in high-end product fields, there is still a certain gap between China and foreign counterparts, especially in new products and technologies. To solve this problem, we need to invest more in R&D, build a first-class hardware platform, and focus on talent recruitment and team construction. Eight billion has already begun to hire more international experts as senior experts or consultants for the company. Through building an internationalized research team, we aim to overtake the international advanced level step by step.
Eight billion aims at becoming a century-old enterprise of precision materials in the field of flat-panel industry development. In assisting industry transformation and upgrading, currently existing difficulties include:
Lack of technology and talents.
Insufficient project support.
Instability due to practical problems affecting talents.
To address these challenges, I believe that it is necessary to increase R&D investment; establish a first-class hardware platform; pay attention to talent recruitment and team construction; through constructing an internationalized research team achieve overtaking the advanced level internationally.
In terms of cultivating high-tech industries, I emphasize that product R&D process often cannot do without policy support for science & technology innovation. Beijing Municipal Commission's green channel projects such as those provided by Science Innovation Projects have played a significant role in breaking through "lack of chips" or "lack of screens" issues for high-tech industries' development.
I hope that continued efforts will be made towards supporting flat-panel semi-conductor industries with policies so as to help accelerate achieving key material equipment domestication.
