武则天，字宣华，是中国唐朝时期的一位著名女性政治家和军事将领。她出生在今天的湖北省宜昌市远安县。她的父亲是契丹族人，母亲是汉族人。由于家庭背景，她从小就接受了良好的教育，并且展现出了强烈的政治抱负。
如何崭露头角？
武则天最初作为皇帝李治的宠妃，在宫中生活。她聪明机智，善于观察和处理各种关系。在丈夫李治即位后，她逐渐在政治上崭露头角。当时，由于李世民去世后的内部斗争和外部压力，使得当时的唐朝面临着严重的问题，而武则天凭借其卓越的能力，为国家提供了稳定。
掌握大权

成为女皇
然而，在662年Li Zhong accidentally fell from a horse and died, which led to Li Zhe's ascension as the new emperor. However, due to his poor health and lack of ability, he failed to meet the expectations of the people and officials. In 665, Li Zhe was deposed by Wu Zetian herself who then declared that she would take over as regent for her grandson Li Dan (who was just three years old at the time). This move marked a significant turning point in history.
统一国家、恢复国力
As regent, Wu Zetian consolidated power by eliminating potential rivals and establishing loyalist factions within the imperial court. She also implemented various reforms aimed at restoring national strength including reorganizing government institutions, promoting agriculture and trade, strengthening military defenses against external threats such as nomadic tribes from Central Asia.
In 690 AD she proclaimed herself Emperor of China thus becoming one of only a few women in Chinese history to hold this title. During her reign she promoted Buddhism with great fervor but also cracked down on dissenting voices among Buddhists themselves. Her rule is often seen both positively for its political stability & economic growth & negatively for its suppression of religious freedom.
如何评价？
Wu Zetian's historical legacy remains controversial among historians today with some viewing her as an effective ruler who brought order back to a troubled empire while others see her rule as oppressive and exploitative towards Buddhist monks or even treasonous given her origins outside traditional Han Chinese aristocracy circles. Despite these debates about how best to evaluate Wu Ze Tian’s life work it is clear that she played an important role shaping Tang Dynasty history especially during challenging times when other leaders may have faltered under pressure
