在接受新华网记者专访时，我表示：“不断创新，以长远的眼光看待行业发展，一刻不松懈地走在科技发展的前端！”作为北京八亿时空液晶科技股份有限公司（以下简称“八亿时空”）董事长，我实现了液晶材料的专利突破，真正意义上实现了液晶材料的国产化，目前国内市场份额约占20%。
我说：“液晶材料是液晶显示面板三大主材之一，但是全球85%以上技术市场被国外少数企业所垄断，所以我们就急需打破国外厂商的产品垄断，实现液晶材料自主知识产权。”从全球来看，主要液晶材料供应商包括德国默克、日本JNC、日本DIC、八亿时空、江苏和成和成志永华六家，其中后三家是国产液晶厂商。在liquid crystal panel产业向中国转移趋势下，国产liquid crystal factory迎来了良好的市场机遇。

When talking about our company's core advantages, I said that our company was the first to break through foreign technology monopoly in mixed-crystal material industry. We have applied for 219 national invention patents and 36 international patents and authorized 83 patents. We also wrote two national standards for ordinary single-component liquid crystals and TFT single-component liquid crystals.
How to break through technical barriers between production enterprises of liquid crystals? I said that China still has a certain gap with foreign counterparts in high-end products field, especially in new products and technologies which are still following behind. To solve this problem requires efforts from multiple aspects. Firstly, we need to increase R&D investment and build top-notch hardware platforms; secondly we should focus on talent introduction and team construction; eight billion has already begun hiring more international experts as senior consultants or advisors to construct an internationally competitive research team so as to achieve "bend-to-overpass" strategy quickly follow up on the pace of international advanced level.
Eight billion time space is positioned as a century-old enterprise specializing in fine chemicals. In terms of assisting industry transformation upgrading assistance needs further improvement in three areas: firstly technology & talents' shortage; secondly insufficient project support force; thirdly instability due to practical difficulties affecting talent stability.
